Apple has announced that its venerable 1GB iPod shuffle is now selling for USD$49 (CAD$55). It is also getting a 2GB sibling which will sell for USD$69 (CAD price to be determined). The 2GB model will be available later this month.
Both models come in five colors (silver, blue, green, purple and a (PRODUCT) RED special edition), weigh just less than 15 grams (half an ounce), and are just over 8 cubic centimeters (half a cubic inch) in volume.
At the beginning of February, Apple also introduced a higher capacity 16GB iPhone and 32GB iPod touch.
