Alienware is showing off a prototype curved monitor at CES 2008. Made up of four DLP displays with OLED illumination, it measures about a meter in length. Capable of running at a resolution of 2880×900, it promises a response time of 0.02 seconds.
The prototype is not without its flaws as you can see the seams between the four panels and the blacks appear a bit washed out, according to Gizmodo. But Alienware expects to have the seam issue resolved by the time the panel is released.
Pricing has not been announced(but is expected to hurt the wallet) and the release date is sometime in the second half of the year.
