DigiTimes is reporting some new details about the upcoming Asus Eee PC 901. As reported earlier, the Eee PC 901 will have a number of new features to differentiate it from the Eee PC 900.
The overall specification will change only slightly aside from the inclusion of an Atom processor. Among the changes, the Eee PC 901 will come with a Bluetooth module and will make use of more metal (parts of the keyboard, the hinges and to ring the touchpad). The Linux version will also come with some additional software. The Asus logo will also make way for an Eee logo.
The Asus Eee PC 901 will be available in Taiwan starting on June 3rd with a price below NT$20,000 (USD$650). It’s not clear if Asus will launch the Eee PC 901 simultaneously in other countries.
