According to The Motley Fool, T-Mobile now has about 1.5 million pre-orders for the T-Mobile G1, the first Google Android-powered mobile phone. Demand was so high following the T-Mobile announcement that the company went back to HTC, tripling its original order. And apparently, all those are now spoken for as well!
The Motley Fool also expects that another 2 million G1s are headed to retail stores in time for its October 22nd debut.
Can the phone and its new operating system live up to the expectations? If it does, the mobile landscape could be in for a bit of a shake-up!
