As widely expected, Microsoft has announced the Xbox 360 Elite with a 120GB hard drive, a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) port, a high-definition cable, and a premium black finish and signature metallic detailing for the console, wireless controller and Xbox LIVE headset. The Elite will also come with and Xbox LIVE Silver membership and a one-month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold.
The Xbox 360 Elite is expected in US stores on April 29 and will sell for $479 USD.
The 120GB hard drive will also be available as a stand-alone accessory for current Xbox 360 users. It will sell for $179.99 USD. Other optional accessories include an Xbox 360 Play & Charge kit ($19.99 USD) to allow gamers to recharge their Xbox 360 Wireless Controller without interrupting their gameplay and an Xbox 360 rechargeable battery ($11.99 USD).
