Details are slim but the FCC has granted approval to a Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry device. The device had been hinted at by RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie back in May.
FCC tests show tests in three ranges, suggesting that it will support 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi. We also know that this latest BlackBerry will have a form factor very similar to that of the 8800 and 8830 series and come with Bluetooth and a microSD slot.
There is no word yet on pricing or carriers.
