Alquerque is an ancient board game that comes from the Middle East and could be the parent of the more modern Checkers game. Traditionally played on a five by five board, each player has twelve pieces to play with. Thanks to Igor Lozitskiy, it is now available for Pocket PC devices as a free download.
Alquerque features three different board sizes and three difficulty levels. You can play with either the stylus or the hardware buttons and you can play against the computer or another player (on the same device). It also has a demo mode.
It is a free download from our affiliate Pocketgear.
