As expected, Verizon announced four new handsets for the fall. Engadget Mobile called it correctly: the new devices are the Samsung Juke, BlackBerry Pearl 2, LG Venus and the LG Voyager.
The Samsung Juke is a narrow music phone that offers 2GB of storage, A2DP Bluetooth and a 1.3MP camera, a 220 x 128 display, and a microSD slot. It will be available in three colours.
The just announced BlackBerry Pearl 8130 comes with EV-DO connectivity, integrated GPS, A2DP Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD slot (now on the side).
The LG Venus is a slider with dual screens. The top screen functions as a regular display but the bottom one is a navigation touchscreen with haptic feedback (vibration feedback). It also comes with a A2DP Bluetooth, a 2MP camera, and a microSD slot. It will be available in pink or black.
Last but not least is the LG Voyager will come with a large external touchscreen. It will open sideways to reveal a second screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. It will also come with a 2MP camera, V CAST Mobile TV and a microSD slot.
All four phones are expected in November but price information has yet to be released.
