Verizon launches Palm Treo 755p

Verizon Palm Treo 755p

The Palm OS-based Palm Treo 755p smartpone has been available from Sprint since May. Today, it was finally announced by Verizon Wireless. Replacing the Treo 700p, the Treo 755p features improvements like an internal antenna, built-in Microsoft Direct Push Technology using the VersaMail 3.5.45 client, Google Maps for Mobile and a slimmer form factor.

In terms of hardware, the Treo 755p is powered by a 312MHz Intel XScale processor and Palm OS 5.4.9. It comes with a QWERTY keyboard, a 320×320 display, EV-DO, 128MB of memory (60MB persistent user storage), Bluetooth 1.2, 1.3MP camera and a miniSD card expansion slot (supporting capacities up to 4GB).

The Verizon Palm Treo 755p is already available for USD$399.99 (after USD$50 mail-in rebate) and two-year customer agreement in an exclusive deep blue-green colour at www.verizonwireless.com, by calling 1-800-2 JOIN IN or by contacting their Verizon Wireless Business Sales Representative. It will hit stores on January 7, 2008.
