Our good friends over at the FCC have given their stamp of approval to an updated Nokia N95 that will support HSDPA connectivity (on the 850 and 1900MHz bands). Called the N95-3 by Nokia, it also supports quad-band GSM/GPRS.
Earlier today, we also found out about a second N95 model which also got FCC approval, this one sporting 8GB of flash memory but lacking support for US 3G. This version also sports new media control buttons and a black casing.
The current version of the N95 features a 2-way slide design. One side slides out to reveal a numeric keypad while the other side reveals dedicated media keys. The latter also convert the 2.6-inch QVGA display to landscape mode. It also comes with GPS, a 5MP camera, tri-band GSM connectivity, Wi-Fi, built-in stereo speakers, a microSD slot, mini USB, Bluetooth 2.0 and an FM tuner.
There are no details yet on pricing and availability for the new models.
