Details have emerged about 3 upcoming Motorola phones.
First up and expected to be announced at the upcoming 3GSM World Congress conference (Barcelona between February 12 and 15) is a GSM version of the Motorola Q. Motorola accidentally revealed its imminent release during its 2007 financial outlook webcast. It will come in black rather than silver but that’s about the only difference you can expect. With no support for 3G, it remains to be seen how it will fare against the T-Mobile Dash and Samsung Blackjack. Two other variants may be in the works as well under the Q2 moniker: an HSDPA model and an EV-DO version.
Next up is the K3, a variant of the Motorola KRZR K1 which adds 3G support. Dimensions and form factor are expected to be very similar to the K1. It should sport a new 2 megapixel camera as well as a front-facing one.
The RIZR Z8 is a 3G slider that follows in the Z6’s footsteps. It also appears to have a front-facing camera.
Motorola is also expected to announce additional entry-level handsets at the 3GSM World Congress.
