Telus announced today that it will offer the HTC Touch and HTC S640 (Iris) to its wireless customers. Telus is the first North American carrier to offer these two devices.
The HTC Touch was the first HTC device to feature the innovative TouchFLO interface. The Telus CDMA version (codename Vogue) is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional and comes with CDMA850/CDMA1900/1x-EVDO Rev. A connectivity, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0, and a microSD slot (and a 1GB microSD card is included). Unlike its GSM cousin, it does not come with Wi-Fi though.
The Telus HTC S640 is powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It comes with 64MB ROM and 256MB ROM, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, QWERTY keyboard, 801.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2MP camera, and a microSD slot.
The HTC Touch is available for between CAD$179.99 with a three year contract and CAD$499 without any service contract. The HTC S640 price ranges from CAD$149.99 (three-year contract) to CAD$449.99 (no contract).
Update: The CDMA version of the Touch does not have Wi-Fi.
