The Boy Genius is reporting that the Telus launch of the BlackBerry 8830 World Phone has been pushed back indefinitely. Originally scheduled to ship on June 22nd, RIM has recalled all devices as it works on an issue about which no details are available.
Telus remains hopeful of a June launch and the Telus product page still shows it as Coming Soon.
The BlackBerry 8830 is a CDMA device equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard and many of the multimedia features that RIM first unveiled on the Pearl. It also comes with 64MB of memory, a trackball (like the Pearl), a microSD slot, a QVGA display, voice-activated dialing, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. It also has EV-DO and GSM support for international roaming.
