We all mourned the passing of the Orange SPV brand yesterday. It turns out that it was somewhat premature as the::unwired has received word from Orange that the SPV brand will live on. SPV devices, as part of Orange Signature Series, are a very important part of Orange’s device portfolio and have a lot of valued added Orange features. Orange will continue to launch SPV devices, as part of the Signature Series, some of which will be from HTC.
Orange will use its Orange mark on its Signature Series line (which includes the SPV brand) as a mark of an assured quality level plus value added features.
The press release also indicates that Orange will feature devices from manufacturers other than HTC in its Signature line in the future.
