The rumours swirled for a long time but Sony has finally confirmed that a new PSP is on its way. Most rumours suggested that the new PSP would come with plenty of new features like Flash memory, a video camera and more (depending on the rumour). Instead, it looks like Sony is moving in the opposite direction.
Sony Computer Entertainment UK’s managing director Ray Maguire indicated that the PSP successor will be both slimmer and lighter. One thing will not change: The new PSP will have a screen that will be the same size as today’s. There are few other details.
If we now know that that a new PSP is on its way, Sony has not provided any clue as to when it would get released.
