For its latest music player, SanDisk is partnering with Yahoo as it tries to put a dent in the Apple iPod market domination.
The most interesting feature about the Sansa Connect is its integrated Wi-Fi capability and how it uses it. Unlike the Zune where this functionality is very limited, the Connect will let users listen to the Yahoo Launchcast Internet radio service, browse Flickr photo albums and see what their friends are listening to. Users can even do away with a host PC as it will also support direct music downloads using the subscription-based Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go service.
Aside from the Wi-Fi, the Sansa Connect will come with 4GB of Flash storage, a 2.2-inch colour display, a microSD slot, and an internal speaker.
The Sansa Connect is now available in the US for $249.99 USD and will be available in Canada later this year.
