Vodafone has announced that will release a number of new handsets before Christmas 2007. The line-up includes the latest premium models from leading handset suppliers, a range of open system devices enabling easy downloads and a compelling set of Vodafone branded handsets.
Among the new handsets announced, you will find the Nokia N95 8GB, the Samsung SGH-F700V and the Sony Ericsson W910i. All will offer 3G broadband (HSDPA) connectivity. The BlackBerry Curve 8310 (with integrated GPS) and BlackBerry Pearl 8100 are also coming. And that’s not all. More than ten other 3G handsets, including six which will be exclusive to Vodafone, will also be introduced before Christmas. Of those, two will be Windows Mobile devices.
Looking at the Windows Mobile devices more closely, they are the Samsung SGH-i640V and the Vodafone 920 Windows Mobile Smartphone. Little information is known about either but the::unwired was able to dig up a few detail on the Vodafone 920. It is rumoured to be a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA device with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2MP camera on the back and a VGA one on the front.
Vodafone customers will have some tough decisions as to which phone to put on their Christmas list!
