The latest version of Parallels Desktop is now out. This software lets you run Windows and Mac OS X simultaneously on Intel-based Macs.
Version 3.0 adds over 50 new features and enhancements. Among the most notable are support for hardware-accelerated 3D graphics and SmartSelect which lets you open Windows files with Mac programs and Mac files in Windows programs, Parallels Explorer which lets you access your Windows system without having to launch Windows, and Snapshots which lets you instantly save the state of your virtual machine, bulletproofing your VM from mishaps and system crashes.
Parallels Desktop 3.0 sells for US$79.99. Current users will be able to upgrade for US$49.99.
