In their latest unboxing, the Boy Genius Report reveal the Pantech Duo dual slider. First impressions seem quite positive: First off, the device is really small. The keyboard is worlds better than the Helio Ocean, and while it might not be fair to compare it to the Ocean, it is more or less the same concept. 3G on here is such a pleasure, and while we’re not talking about Windows Mobile 6 Professional, Standard works just fine for this little handset. Battery life is a concern, especially with a 3G radio, but since we just got it we don’t have a real gage on battery performance. Voice quality and sound quality sounded crisp and clear as well.
The Pantech Duo is powered by a Marvell 416MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, 2 separate keyboards (a vertically sliding numeric keypad and a horizontally sliding QWERTY keyboard), a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, Bluetooth 1.2, a 1.3MP camera and a microSD card slot.
The Pantech Duo will be offered by AT&T and is expected at any time (there is even a report that it is already available).
