When Palm unveiled the Treo 500v, it did so only for Europe. But now, it has appeared on the FCC web site (FCC IDs show both a 500 and 500v), suggesting that a release in the US could be coming. Palm has filed confidentiality letters so there are no pictures or manual but we can guess that the Treo 500 would be a quad-band device to support the GSM 850 and 190 bands used in North America.
Specs-wise, the Treo 500 should be pretty much the same as the 500v which will be powered by Windows Mobile 6 Standard, making it the first Treo not to have a touchscreen, and it will come with a QVGA display, a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 256MB ROM (with 150MB available user storage), a 2MP camera with 2.5x digital zoom, and a microSD slot.
