Otter Products has announced the OtterBox 1911, an interactive, water-resistant case designed for the HP iPAQ 6500 and 6900 series devices. Like other OtterBoxes, it is designed to protect your device from dust, dirt or rain as well as from getting dropped while still allowing users full access to phone and data functions right through the case.
Tailored to fit newer iPAQ models, the 1911 has a polycarbonate/ABS shell with rubber overmolding for better grip and drop protection. The screen is protected by a replaceable screen membrane which allows complete access and Donaldson acoustic membrane vents allow sound transmission while keeping the case sealed. The rear facing camera is also usable through the case and an external stylus holder keeps the stylus readily available. The case is opened and closed using compound latches that ensure secure closing
