During his CES keynote today, Bill Gates showed off OQO’s latest, the model 02. The new model was basically rebuilt from the ground up and completely upgraded.
The model 02 comes with a new ergonomic backlit 58-key keyboard and track stick for easy input and navigation. In terms of specs, the most basic model comes with a 1.2GHz VIA C7M ULV processor, a 30GB hard drive, 512MB RAM, a 5-inch 800×480 pixel display which can be interpolated up to 1200 x 720, Bluetooth 2.0 wireless with EDR and A2DP support, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, VGA output, capacitive TouchScrollers for horizontal and vertical scrolling, a USB 2.0 port, and more.
Options include a EV-DO WWAN module, a choice of Windows XP operating systems, processor, hard drive and memory upgrades, and a docking station.
The OQO model 02 prices start at $1499 USD.
