O2 is getting to ready to launch a new 3G with HSDPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS flip phone called the O2 Cocoon. Designed with Synthes Studio from Sweden, the Cocoon is a white clamshell with rounded edges and an external LED display. It will have dedicated music buttons on one side.
Details on the specs are still light but we know that it will come with a 2.1-inch QVGA display, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, an RDS-compatible FM radio tuner, a pair of stereo speakers, and a microSD slot. It will also come with a charging cradle called the Nest which will also let it function as a radio alarm clock.
The Cocoon will make its debut in the UK in August for as low as £129 (with service contract).
