On the heels of an unconfirmed report that T-Mobile will offer the Apple iPhone in Germany comes word that O2 has won the rights to do so in the UK, according to TimesOnline.co.uk. The deal is not signed yet though. Early favourite Vodafone apparently decided that the terms of the agreement with Apple did not make sense for it.
The agreement between Apple and O2 is rumoured to include a share of the revenues generated by each customer. O2 will also have period of exclusivity to sell the iPhone after which mobile phone retailers will also be allowed to carry it.
