The release date for the HTC P4550 (Kaiser) has been a bit of a roller coaster. Last time, I reported that the HTC Kaiser was now scheduled for an August release. Now comes further information supporting that August date. It appears that AT&T will offer the Kaiser as the Cingular 8925 at that time. It’s not quite clear where this latest information comes from so take it with a grain of salt.
In terms of specs, the HTC P4550 is expected to be powered by a 384MHz QualComm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It will come with 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen that tilts when the keyboard is out, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, integrated GPS, both a 3MP camera and VGA camera, and a microSD slot.
It is also likely that if AT&T does release the 8925 it would replace the 8525 (HTC P4500 TyTN) available today.
