DigiTimes is now wading into the what-iPod-will-be-announced-on-September-5th rumour mill. They expect that Apple will announce a new video iPod as well as new iPod nanos and shuffles. According to their sources, the new iPod video will be powered by a MacOS X variant (like the iPhone) and come with a widescreen display, a high storage flash memory capacity and Wi-Fi connectivity. The nano will see an increase an storage capacity and the addition of an iPhone-like interface. The shuffle will get increased storage capacity without a change in pricing. Foxconn and Asustek are expected to manufacture the new nano and shuffle respectively.
