At the very end of a good article from Forbes about Micheal Dell’s return to the helm of the company he founded, there is a little nugget about Dell possibly working with Quanta on a forthcoming smartphone. This is not new as similar rumours surfaced back in April and July. Ron Garriques, who came over from Motorola, is involved in this project.
According to the article, the device will come with video, an MP3 player and Internet access. Earlier rumours also indicated that it would use Windows Mobile 6 Professional and come with HSDPA support and a QWERTY keyboard. It could be released as early as early 2008.
