While not exactly gadget related, this is still pretty cool. And fun! Goggles, the Google Maps Flight Sim, overlays some Flash on top of Google Maps to let you fly around a number of world cities (Toronto, Paris, Los Angeles, New York and more) as well as the moon and Mars. In the picture here, I am flying over the Eiffel Tower.
The controls are pretty simple and your plane even comes with machine guns if you feel the need to do some strafing runs. Just be careful not to fly too low.
