More information is coming out about the device that Palm will announce in Europe on September 12th. If a leaked advertisement is genuine, then the new device will be known as the Treo 500 (or possibly Treo 500v). The leaked ad is in Dutch, confirming a release in the Netherlands. Other countries expected to see the new device are Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The evidence that Vodafone will be the carrier is now overwhelming. Early leaked pictures showed the Vodafone logo and so does this leaked ad. And the press invitation is from Palm, Microsoft and Vodafone.
In terms of specs, it looks like the Treo 500 will run Windows Mobile 6 (Standard according to earlier rumours) and come with 3G connectivity, a QVGA screen, 150MB of internal memory, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and a microSD slot. It should be a bit smaller than the Treo 750, measuring 61 x 110 x 16mm. It should be available both in white and grey.
