Since January, Socket has been slowly unveiling a line of handheld mobile computer products. Since then, they launched a new web site and started to release details about these new devices. Back in early February, we found out that one device would come with Windows Mobile 5.0 and both SD and CF slots.
More recently, Socket revealed it will also include Socket software to simplify integration and use, Bluetooth and 802.11 g Wi-Fi, reinforced CF and SD slots, side rubberized grips, protective SD /CF card slot caps, shock resistance (in case of drops) and a 3-5 year product lifecycle that should appeal to enterprises that will depend on these products.
There are still no more specific availability details than second quarter this year.
