jkOnTheRun is reporting that one of their readers (who asked to stay anonymous) recently discussed the much-rumoured Dell Tablet with not one but two different Dell representatives. Due in September or October 2007, it will be based on the Latitude D420 notebook series.
Details on specs are slim though. The Dell Tablet is expected to be a convertible type of Tablet PC which will be fully compatible with all Latitude D series accessories. It will come with an active digitizer and a widescreen display. A wireless broadband option could also be offered.
The article goes on to look at current D420 laptop hardware to get a sense of what specs the new tablet could sport (Intel Core Duo processor, up to 2GB RAM, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, WXGA display, up to 60GB hard drive, Bluetooth and 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi).
