For a couple of days in May, it looked like Microsoft had achieved its goal of selling a million Zune players before the end of its fiscal year. Unfortunately, it turned out to be inaccurate. With a month to go, Microsoft had not yet reached its goal.
Now Microsoft can officially rejoice. It announced its latest earnings yesterday and not only did it surpass the US$50 billion mark in annual revenues but it confirmed that it had met its goal of selling a million Zune players. In fact, they sold 1.2 million Zunes.
I am curious to know what targets Microsoft has set for Zune for the next year. And will we see the Zune outside of the US to achieve that goal?
