It was too good to be true. And too poor a Photoshop job to hold up to close scrutiny. Yesterday’s rumour about the iPhone landing at Rogers Wireless on December 7th has been put to rest by Rogers. A terse statement issued by email by a Rogers spokesperson indicated that the ad that surfaced “was not produced by Rogers. Nothing further to announce on iPhone”.
Hopefully Apple and Rogers see all these rumours (Holt Renfrew, Molson contest) as a clear sign of pent-up Canadian demand for the iPhone and come to an agreement sooner than later. Otherwise, we’ll all be crossing the border and unlocking our iPhones…
Thanks, Aaron!
