Nokia announced yesterday that it has signed a deal with China Postel, China’s largest mobile phone wholesaler worth $2.5 billion USD. China Postel will buy about 20 million phones from Nokia in 2007. The two companies also plan to deepen strategic ties, especially in the area of network channel development.
China Postel is China’s largest mobile phone distributor for the last eight years and has sold more than 37 million Nokia phones since 1998.
China is the second largest mobile phone market behind the United States.
