Researchers at investment bank Goldman Sachs expect that Apple will unveil two iPhone revisions in 2008. The conclusions in the research note are based on information supplied by Asian components suppliers.
First up, Apple will unveil a minor revision featuring more flash memory (16GB or perhaps as much as 32GB) in the first half of the year. This will be followed up by a major revision that should add 3G capabilities to the iPhone. This new iPhone is apparently already in the “final design phase” and should feature a similar form factor.
Meanwhile, Engadget has received a tip that TomTom could be working on a GPS module for the iPhone. Or not…
On the Apple TV front, there could be redesign scheduled for the second half. An LCD display could be part of the new design.
