i-mate has announced two new devices in their Ultimate line. After canceling a number of devices earlier, i-mate is on a bit of a roll with new device announcements (the JAMA 101 and 201 were just unveiled).
The Ultimate 8502 is powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It packs a QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, integrated GPS, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot. Unlike other Ultimate devices, it only comes with a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen display.
The Ultimate 9502 features a Sidekick-like keyboard below a slide-out display. Like the 8502, it is powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It also comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, integrated GPS and a microSD slot. Differences aside from the form factor include an auto-focus 3MP camera and a 2.8-inch VGA display.
i-mate has not announced availability and pricing on either the 8502 or the 9502.
