O2 Germany has announced that it will offer the HTC Polaris as the O2 Xda Orbit 2 to succeed the original Orbit.
The O2 Xda Orbit 2 is powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, built-in GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 3MP camera and a front-facing VGA camera, and a microSD expansion slot. It will use HTC’s TouchFLO technology. The Xda Orbit 2 will also come with a 1GB microSD card and the TomTom navigation software with maps of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and additional European road maps.
The O2 Xda Orbit 2 will be available in December. With a 24 month contract, it will be available for €99.
