A release date for the HTC Polaris must be getting close. Its official name has been revealed by after it was shown during a presentation by HTC in the Netherlands. The HTC Touch Cruise as it will be known is still not completely finalized but will come with an improved HTC TouchFLO interface that features some new gestures.
In terms of specifications, the HTC Touch Cruise will be powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor adn Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It will feature quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS connectivity, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, both a rear-facing 3MP and front-facing VGA camera, built-in A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a microSD slot.
PocketInfo.nl had pictures of the HTC Touch Cruise but removed them at HTC’s request.
Pictures of the O2 version of the HTC Touch Cruise also appear to have been posted for a short while at the O2 Germany web site by accident. the::unwired has a few pictures.
The HTC Touch Cruise is expected to be available in late November.
