As expected, Sprint launched the HTC Mogul today. The Mogul replaces the Sprint PPC-6700. It improves on its predecessor in many ways: Upgraded operating system, more internal memory, a thinner form factor, a thumbwheel and more.
The HTC Mogul is powered by an Intel processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It also comes with 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot (512 MB card included). It supports dual-band CDMA and will be upgradeable to EVDO Rev. A through a software update to be released later. Sprint also added a number of services such as its Sprint Music Store and the On Demand application which can supply sports, weather, news, money and other information.
The HTC Mogul will be available for US$399 with a two year contract.
