The HTC P3450 (codename Elf) may not be the Windows Mobile 6 device that will set the gadget world on fire but HTC has high hopes for it. It expects to ship some two million of these in the second half of 2007 alone. Whereas most of HTC’s devices are expected to sell for over US$600, the HTC Elf will sell for US$400 to US$500.
The HTC Elf is powered by a 200MHz TI OMAP processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE capabilities, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, a 2MP camera, and a microSD slot. Weighing in at only 110 grams (less than 4 ounces), it measures 108x58x14 millimeters (4.25×2.28×0.55 inches).
The HTC P3450 will also be sold as the O2 Xda nova.
