The on-and-off-again HTC Cavalier has received approval from the FCC. But with Dopod offering it as the C730, it was only a matter of time before HTC released it under its own brand.
Succeeding the HTC S620 (Excalibur), the Cavalier is powered by a 400MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It comes with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, UMTS (2100/850/1900) and HSDPA support, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot. Like the HTC Excalibur, it will sport a 2.4-inch screen and the JOGGR touch sensitive navigation bar (although moved to the side).
Now we just have to see which North American carriers will offer it…
