The HTC Cavalier is sometimes on the HTC release map and sometimes it’s not. Now it appears that it’s back on, thanks to Dopod. CNET Asia is reporting that Dopod will release the HTC Cavalier as the C730 in May to replace the C720W.
The HTC Cavalier is the successor to the HTC Excalibur (T-Mobile Dash, HTC S620/621). It is now expected to ship with Windows Mobile 6 Standard. Other specs include a 400MHz processor, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support and UMTS (2100/850/1900) and HSDPA support, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, a 2MP camera and a microSD slot. Like the HTC Excalibur, it will sport a 2.4-inch screen and the JOGGR touch sensitive navigation bar (although moved to the side).
It will be released in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and The Philippines. Pricing information is not yet available.
