HTC has officially announced the HTC TyTN II (Press release). More powerful than anything you’ve seen before, the HTC TyTN II takes communications to the next level. The TyTN II will be available as an HTC-branded device as well as in partnership with European mobile operators.
The HTC TyTN II will be powered by a 400MHz Qualcomm processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It will feature a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display that slides and tilts back to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, integrated GPS with Tom Tom Navigator 6 Taster Edition, both a 3MP camera and front-facing VGA camera, and a microSD slot. It will also come with HTC Home, HTC’s new homescreen application offering easy access to photo dialing, text messages, calendar entries, emails and contacts, as well as one touch access to live weather conditions plus four-day forecasts and a business card scanner application.
In terms of dates, Orange will begin launching the HTC TyTN II in a phased roll-out starting at the end of September. Pricing information was not disclosed. And no word on any North American release either!
