HTC has announced that the HTC Advantage X7501 is headed to US shores. The specs of the X7501 are pretty much the same as those of the X7500 except for the fact that it promises Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Standard. Other specs include a 624MHz processor with an ATI W2284 graphics chip, 128MB RAM and 256MB RAM, 5-inch VGA display, detachable QWERTY keyboard, built-in 8GB hard drive with a miniSD expansion slot, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, built-in GPS navigation, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and 3MP camera.
The HTC Advantage X7501 will not be offered through carriers but directly through retailers like Amazon.com. Unfortunately, that means that there will be no carrier subsidies to reduce the cost (at the cost of a carrier service contract).
The HTC Advantage X7501 is expected this summer but no specific dates are currently available.
