Not only is the screen resolution of mobile devices improving but the physical screen size is also getting larger. The most popular screen size for handsets is now the 2.4-inch display, according to a report by DigiTimes. The 2.4-inch display replaced the 1.8-inch display at the king of the hill but its reign may be short as demand for 2.8-inch displays continues to grow as well.
Demand for 3- to 5-inch panels and those running WQVGA (400×240) is also growing as mobile TV continues to get more popular.
