If the rumour turns out to be true, the first screenshots of an application running on Android, the recently announced mobile operating system from Google, have been leaked. The application, called WhatsOpen, is a mobile search engine (from WhatsOpen) that will help you locate businesses in your area and give you information such as their operating hours and user reviews. It also integrates with Google Maps.
Hopefully, we will see Android application development pick up steam once the SDK is released. That should give us a good idea of Android can do and whether it will be worthy competitor to other mobile operating systems.
