The FCC has given its approval to the E-TEN Glofiish X800, paving the route for its arrival in the US.
According to the user manual posted, the Glofiish X800 sports some impressive specs (and slightly different from what was first reported). Powered by a 500MHz Samsung processor and Windows Mobile 6 Professional, it will come with 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch VGA screen, tri-band HSDPA/UMTS and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, built-in GPS module (using the SiRFStar III chipset), both a 2MP auto-focus camera and VGA camera for video calls, a microSD slot. All this comes in a device that measures 113.5 x 60.5 x 15.8mm.
Probably the only things missing on the X800 are a numeric keypad and a QWERTY keyboard.
Hopefully we will soon find out what carriers (if any) will offer the Glofiish X800.
