Fujitsu is the latest manufacturer to announce that it is working on a UMPC device. They unveiled their first device at the Intel Developer Conference that took place last month. The design shows Tablet PC influences as the device will come with a screen that can rotate and lay flat over the keyboard as many Tablet PCs can also do.
The Fujitsu UMPC (name or model not yet revealed) will apparently use the Itel “Stealey” A100 or A110 processor and will come with 1GB RAM, a 40GB hard drive, a 5.6-inch wide SVGA (1024 x 600) display, two cameras, an SD card slot. An optional four-core battery promises up to 7 hours of operation.
Fujitsu’s first UMPC is expected to be available this summer.
