DigitalJournal.com is reporting that Holt Renfrew will begin to offer a Canadian version of the iPhone starting later this month, according to an inside source at Holt Renfrew. The 8GB model will be offered for CAD$799 (so much for currency parity!). There are no details on who the carrier (although Rogers Wireless is the leading candidate) would be or what kind of service plans we would see.
When approached by DigitalJournal.com, Rogers indicated that
“The iPhone is a phenomenal product and at Rogers Wireless we look forward to being able to offer it in Canada. When we have a public announcement to make, we’ll let you know.”
I wonder if we will see people camping out in front Holt Renfrew (in their luxury SUV of course) to be among the first to get their hands on one.
