If this turns out to be true, this could mark a real turning point in how much us Canadians have to pay for wireless data plans. A rumour is floating around that Bell Canada is about to release its own HTC Touch this month. More interesting though is the suggestion that Bell could offer it with a CAD$7 unlimited data plan. A few restrictions (such as no streaming and no tethering) can be expected though.
It looks like Bell has classified the HTC Touch as a cell phone rather than a data device. It also looks like Bell is setting up the HTC Touch with its data plan as a competitor for the Apple iPhone expected at Rogers.
If the rumours are true, the Bell HTC Touch will sell for between CAD$449.95 without a contract and CAD$249.95 with a three-year contract.
This could be the beginning of affordable wireless data plans in Canada!
